Chinese communists have created a chatbot with Xi Jinping’s personality

China’s IT sector faces two serious problems in developing neural networks and chatbots. Firstly, they are directly prohibited from using Western developments like ChatGPT and Google Gemini due to censorship requirements. Chinese authorities are wary of using their algorithms because of the possibility of distorting important information. Secondly, Western AI models are customised to use English, which creates an incredible amount of difficulty in training them for the benefit of Chinese users. Therefore, China needs chatbots of its own design.
