Despite the fact that the Acropolis of Athens is the most popular attraction in Greece, scientists continue to discover more and more information about its history. In particular, according to a publication by scientists, graffiti that was discovered near Athens may depict an ancient temple inside a citadel that predates the Parthenon.
The small graffiti, which consists of a striking engraving of the building, was found on marble rock on Barako Hill near Vary, about 19 kilometres southeast of Athens in the Greek region of Attica.
